Find Phone Numbers With Business Directories

There are many reasons that you may want to use a cell phone directory or other kind of number search in order to find a business telephone number.  Perhaps you’d like to call a specific business.  Maybe you’ve moved to a new town and you want to know if a certain chain has a location that is local to you with a landline or cell phone lookup.  Perhaps you’ve been called by a company and you’d like to look into the number that has appeared on your Caller ID display using a reverse phone lookup.

No matter the reason, there are many different resources out there to help you find out the numbers for companies, or the companies for numbers with both forward and backward searches.

To start, you should know that you will have more luck if you are working with a company’s landline telephone number. As of yet, there is no existing business cell phone directory, and there aren’t any in the works.  However, there are a few voluntary business cell phone lookup sites that are starting to pop up on the internet.  Those sites rely on businesses choosing to register their information and mobile telephone numbers with them in order to build their lists.

Those opt-in cell phone directory sites are currently your best option for a forward cell phone lookup, but you will still need to have luck on your side to successfully find a cellular number for a specific business, as opposed to simply a business within an overall category.

Instead, you’ll probably have better luck performing a forward query for a landline telephone number for a business.  These are registered in extensive listings online and can often allow you to find not only a specific business, but many related businesses within the same category or industry.  This can be very helpful both when you want to locate an individual company, or if you’re looking for a product or service and you don’t have a specific provider in mind.

On the other hand, there are currently extensive business reverse phone lookup resources available for both landline and mobile telephones.  These services can be quite beneficial for a number of reasons.  The first of which is that you can find out what company has been calling you either about business you have with them, or with telemarketing calls.

Just because you are dealing with a company, it doesn’t mean that you remember its telephone number, so being able to perform a reverse phone lookup can be very handy for finding out if they tried to reach you while you were away.  If they didn’t leave a message on your answering machine or voice mail, you may never know they’ve called unless you identify their number.

Whether you try to perform your search with a opt-in business cell phone directory, another form of cell phone lookup, or you’re simply performing a reverse phone search for an unknown business number that has called you, internet queries both forward and backward are your best tools for finding the information you need quickly and easily.
